Equimedia are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our growing website design, build and optimisation team. You will have a minimum 3 years’ experience working in a full-stack development role, have a passion for best in class code, and be able to showcase some of your best work building modern websites that deliver a conversion uplift.

• Key Responsibilities

o Developing new websites working collaboratively with a team of web designers and back-end developers

o Supporting retained web development clients with BAU development changes

o Peer review and quality control of retained tasks for a major client

o Lead and advise on CI/CD best practice across all clients

o Version control and deployment procedure adherence

o Influence the company’s technical roadmap and direction

o Leading on the development of internal equimedia projects, and support ad ops an paid media teams

o Create and maintain clear documentation for team members to refer to

o Attend client calls, meetings and workshops to present and discuss ideas

o Keeping up to date with latest industry trends and best practices

o To work and keep to tight deadlines

 

• Required Skills & Experience

o Experience in an agency environment as part of a web development team

o Excellent HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, and PHP skills

o Deep understanding of JS including ES5/ES6

o Experience using modern JS frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js

o Experience in developing RESTful web API’s, services and integrations

o Experience of dealing with various APIs, preferably with legacy XML as well as JSON

o Experience with AWS and Azure would be preferable

o Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps principles how to apply these

o Knowledge and extensive use of version control, i.e. Git

o Experience developing open-source websites in either WordPress or Drupal (both is ideal)

o Strong knowledge of at least one back end technology, however ideally multiple with ability to pick up new tasks quickly

o Gulp/Grunt experience or similar

o Relational DB skills including queries and stored procedures

o Experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, XD)

o Experience working within central workflow management processes i.e. Trello, Basecamp

o Excellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently with internal staff and clients

o Work requirements vary and can change rapidly; experience working in a fast pace, team environment is essential

o Keen problem solver and bug finding skills at pace

o Attention to detail

 

• ‘Nice to have’ Skills

o Experience in Drupal 8

o Understanding of UX best practice, experience with A/B testing tools (i.e. VWO) and on-site personalisation

o The ability to create interactive wireframes and hi-fidelity designs, i.e. Axure, Adobe XD

o Experience with automated testing, i.e. Selenium

o Working knowledge of Python, Node.js
